★一点物の作品です★

シルクのリラックスショーツ(ふんどしパンツ)です。

この生地は元々長襦袢(着物)になる様に作られた反物で、その中から柄を選んで作りました。
長い間大切に保管されていた反物で、着物には仕立てられていません。

波打つ様なこの紋様は、｢菊青海波文（きくせいがいはもん）｣と言って、菊と青海波が織られている、縁起柄 × 縁起柄の最強紋様です。古くは江戸時代から用いられていたそうです。

奈良時代に中国からお薬として伝わった菊は、長寿の象徴とされています。季節は秋の花(※)なのですが、格調高い花柄なので季節を問わず用いられ、古くから愛されてきました。
※季節の花…和装では生地の質感以外に、着物に描かれた絵柄や色で季節を表します。

また、青海波は古代ペルシャから伝わったとされ、雅楽の舞曲｢青海波｣に用いられた衣装の紋様だったことが由来だそうです。長く続く様な柄には、永遠や不老不死という意味が込められています。

この二つの模様を合わせてデザインすることで、不老長寿を願い、いつまでも若々しく幸せいっぱいの人生が送れるようにという想いを表現した非常に素敵な柄なのです。

ランジェリーの素材でも最高級とも言われるシルク。着用を続けると肌質に変化があると言われていて、実際にそういった声も頂戴しております。

** お手入れ **

毎日、お風呂に入る時に一緒に連れて入って、洗面器で軽く洗って、水気を切ったら、タオルで挟んで水分を吸い取って、椅子の背中などに掛けておけば翌朝には乾いています。

絹は人間のお肌や髪の毛に似ているので、お肌に優しいシャンプーやリンスを使われている方は、お洗濯の時にそちらを使われても構いません。

艶はアイロンを軽く当てると戻ります。

染めによっては、石鹸成分に誘われて色が出てきます。(特に色濃いもの)色止め剤を使っていない証拠だなぁと思います。色落ちによる色あせが気になる場合は、汚れは湯洗いで充分にとれますのでお使いになられない方が綺麗な色を保てます。

セスキなどは、風合いを損ねてしまうのでおすすめしません。白っぽく固くなってしまいます。ここら辺もお肌に似ているなぁと思います。

脱水機はダメではありませんが、シワになったら低温のアイロンでシワをのばしてから干してください。

絹は扱いが難しいイメージがありますが、その通りでもあるしそうではない部分もあります。
以上のことをふまえてお手入れして頂きますと、別洗い・手洗い・陰干しが出来るので、色落ちや傷みなどの回避が出来ます。
慣れてきたら洗濯機を使うよりも簡単だと思って頂けるのではないでしょうか。

This fabric was originally woven to make a *Nagajuban and has been carefully stored for a long time.

* What is Nagajuban?
It is an essential robe that is worn underneath a kimono to keep the kimono clean.

This pattern is called "Kiku-seigaiha”, and it is said that it has been used for hundreds of years since the Edo period.

‘Kiku': chrysanthemum which was introduced into Japan as a medicine from China during the Nara period is considered to be a symbol of longevity. The flower of the seasons is autumn*. However, since ‘kiku' is a magnificent floral pattern, it is used regardless of the season and has been loved for a long time.

*Flowers of the seasons?
In Japanese clothing culture, the patterns and colors drawn on kimonos also represent each season in addition to the texture of the fabric.

It is also said that ’Seigaiha’ (meaning: Sei=blue, Gai=ocean, Ha=wave) was transmitted from ancient Persia and was a pattern of the costume which was used in gagaku dance, called“ Seigaiha”. The long-lasting pattern like sea waves has the meaning of eternity and immortality.

"Kiku-seigaiha” is an auspicious pattern with the desire that people will live a youthful and happy life forever.

Silk is the finest lingerie material and is said that if you continue to wear it, your skin quality will change. We have received such happy voices from our customers, too.

【Care】Hand wash / Iron gently
1.Take the shorts with you when taking a bath, 2.store lukewarm water in the washbowl, 3.wash by hands gently and rinse, 4.squeeze lightly by hands, wrap and dry with towel, 5.put it on a hanger and dry in shade.

Silk products dry quickly.
It is said silk resembles the human skin and hair, so if you have skin-friendly shampoo or conditioner, you can also use them when washing the shorts.
If you find wrinkles on the shorts, iron gently at low temperature.

【What you should not do】
・ Use of laundry detergent, especially soap and sesqui sodium carbonate
・ Scrubbing
・ Use of washing machine and dryer

Depending on the dyeing degree of density, the color will come out due to the component of soap (especially darker colors). If you are worried about fading due to discoloration, do not use soap.
We do not recommend using Sesqui sodium carbonate, etc. as well, as it will damage the texture. The cloth becomes whitish and stiff.
Silk is a delicate fabric, so please wash by hand gently.
